(More customer reviews)We'd purchased the Dora's Christmas CD (which is excellent, by the way). The CD is set up like it's an adventure in song so I (wrongly) assumed the "Christmas Carol Adventure" DVD would be the video version of the CD (since Christmas Carol was in the title). Without saying anything to my kids (6 yr old and 3 yr old girls), they made the same mistake and were a little disappointed as they were hoping to sing the songs on the CD while watching the movie.
That said, they do greatly enjoy the movie. It's a long-format Dora special about the friends trying to teach Swiper the Fox why it's important to not swipe on Christmas. It teaches a great lesson about how actions have consequences and the fact that what we decide to do today affects who we are tomorrow.
The other DVD contains the older Christmas special about Dora and Boots traveling to the North Pole to give Santa a present (plus a few other non-Christmas Dora episodes).
Overall, this was a GREAT bargain and well worth the money. Just don't make the same mistake and assume this is related to Dora's Christmas CD. We do highly recommend the CD as well - it's got some great Dora-fied renditions of a lot of Christmas favorites.
