C.O.P.S. (Central Organization of Police Specialists) is an animated television series created by DiC Entertainment in the 1980s. The police officers fought crime in a future time against Big Boss and his gang of crooks. I still enjoy watching this series as much as I did back then.
This DVD release features the first 33 episodes of C.O.P.S. for the low price of between $10 to $15. To put this in perspective, to get these episodes from Shout! Factory would cost you around $60 (the episodes would be spread across all of their Volume 1 and part of their Volume 2). The downside to this release is that Mill Creek tends to cram a lot of episodes per disc (at 3 discs, it looks like 11 per disc for this release) which can lead to the picture quality not being as top notch as it could be. Mill Creek intends to release Volume 2 later this year featuring the last 32 episodes (22 of which haven't been on DVD before). I'll edit this review once I receive the set in the mail, but wanted to make potential buyers aware of some of the details. At such a cheap price, I think this set should be worth getting to any casual or hardcore C.O.P.S. fan.
