(More customer reviews)I bought the Pioneer version of this a few months before this one came out. The movie was very good, but I didn't like the voices at all and the picture quality was simply awful. But, with this version of it, they use the FUNimation voices, with new music and a new script, which I like better than the Pioneer script. (Which was actually the Japanese script.)
Many people like the Pioneer version over this one becquse they used the Japenese music and dialouge. However, if you want that, just watch the Japenese version of it, on this DVD. (Pioneer always had poor subtitles on their DVD's, but FUnimation always gets the subtitles right.) Also, this is the digitally remastered version, and it looks very, very good.
I'm so glad they're finally releasing the Ultimate Uncut editions. Pioneer took and butchered a great series, cutting the climactic Goku Vegeta battle into utter crap, and ruined the great Namek saga. Finally, we'll see these episodes, (and movies-World's Strongest and Tree of Might are also being re-released) the way they were meant to be seen.
