(More customer reviews)For those of you who don't know about this dvd, it is full of 12 5 minute episodes about sea life. What makes this series so wonderful is that it is part lesson, and part adventure.
Captain Nemo has 2 young children who go exploring under the sea with him. (The girl is Kris, and the boy is Robbie.) We learn about life under the sea, and we have small amounts of danger and trouble that keep the lesson interesting.
In episode 1, they rescue a Killer Whale trapped under a cable. In 2, a whale and a squid fight; 3 has an unusual sadness; 5 teaches us about the different uses of sea weed; 6 teaches about the Johnson Bag; 7 teaches us about Moray Eels. Episode 8 teaches about the scary mysteries of the Sargasso Sea. Episode 10 is an interesting adventures as they try to get rid of an active mine. Episode 11 teaches about the cycle of gold and the value of life. Episode 12 teaches us that while there is gold in sea water, it doesn't pay to recover it.
Overall, it is a GREAT cartoon. We have 3 likable characters, interesting adventures, great lessons, and just the right amount of suspense.
