(More customer reviews)My almost-5-year-old son has seen all the Land Before Time movies and enjoys them all. I especially appreciate the fact that the 5 dino friends are not the same species but are best friends, even when one of their dino parents might not approve. They are loyal to each other and best buddies. They also have some typically childish annoying habits, like squealing when frightened, yelling when angry, etc., but they always make up and don't carry grudges. They learn their lessons when they disobey and they don't like to disappoint their parents. When my son tells me he wants to be like Ducky (one of the little dinos) I am happy to hear that, because Ducky is kind and sweet and hates conflict. I wouldn't recommend these movies for young children, as there are behaviors little ones aren't ready for, and also because there are some frightening moments (think "Bambi"). Use your own judgment as to when your child won't become upset with a T-Rex chasing little dinosaurs. Mine was close to 4 before we started watching these movies, and they've given us some wonderful teaching moments, especially about how to be a good friend.
