Among his birthday presents, Donald Duck finds a projector, a screen and a roll of film. He puts them on and finds it is a film about his Southern relations - a subject Donald would confess he knows very little about. He watches several stories about a cold penguin, a flying donkey and a cigar chewing parrot who introduces him to the beauties (literally) of Brazilian and Mexican culture.Donald Duck celebrates his birthday, Latin America-style, in this collection of Disney cartoons from the World War II era. Features a colorful blend of liva-action and animation, included are the Donald Duck cartoons "Don's Fountain of Youth", "Pueblo Pluto","The Cold Blooded Penguin", Baia" and "The Flying Gauchito". Academy Award Nominations: Best Sound Recording, Best Scoring of a Musical Picture.Beautifully animated, photographed and innovative in its deployment of live-action mixed with animation, THE THREE CABALLEROS will delight young and new audiences alike. Features the colorful singing and talents of Aurora Miranda, whose more famous sister Carmen Miranda was better known to audiences. This is a Disney masterpiece and noteworthy of how extraordinarily talented the Disney Studios were from this era.
