Although classed as an animated film for younger people, this is definitely also for adults. I accidentally caught the series on TV and was hooked. While the story of good vs evil is straightforward enough for younger viewers, there are plenty of themes that appeal to older viewers: the environment, corporate politics, the blurring of entertainment and propaganda, the manipulation of individuals. There are plenty of characters who are neither wholly good nor wholly bad, but who are manipulated or misguided. There are technologically enhanced humans and human-like androids and even the line between human and artificial becomes blurred. The DVD release is long overdue and I'm looking forward to further instalments.
