The story varies a lot from the world renowned, critically acclaimed, million dollar Disney production, loved by generations to come. What makes this cheap and flimsy production, unworthy of the Hannah-Barbera seal of APproval so charming is the cheap animation, the heartstring pulling soundtrack, and the adorable cast of characters including the severely deformed Beast, voiced by someone unknown. The cartoon presented herein was most likely aimed at a TV audience made up of small children who wouldn't know the difference anyway between cheap and horrible back in the good old days when TV was received over the air with its multitude of technical shortcomings, bad reception, and a cheap speaker instead of the High Definition, 7 speaker surround sound we so take for granted today. The story is as comical (probably unintentionally) as it is tragically cheap, and so is the ending. In essence: A splendid time is guaranteed for all!

This is the classic tale of love overcoming all. When Belle the Beauty learns that her father is held captive in the Beast's castle, she offers to take his place. The Beast agrees, if she will stay in the castle forever. The Beast is actually a Prince under a spell for his loveless and arrogant ways and the only way he can break the spell is to learn to give and accept love before the last petal falls from his enchanged rose bush. Will Belle fall in love with the Beast? Will the Prince find love and acceptance in his heart and break the spell?
