I pulled this from Westlake's Web site because Amazon neglected to do so (for the record, there seems to be a rather enormous differential between list prices on the two sites and it doesn't favor your current host...). I noticed that it contained a few titles I didn't already own, so I bit the bullet (an Amazon third-party seller had it listed for a pittance). The set doesn't entirely consist of cartoons; "Brightest Night" is a rather hokey old short subject. Of the actual cartoons, "The Little Christmas Burro" is a variation on the "Small One" theme without its sinister, somewhat anti-Semitic overtones--it's narrated by the late, great Lorne ("The Voice of Doom") Greene and has some cute songs. "Toys Will Be Toys" is very sweet with a cameo appearance by Popeye and celebrity spoofs that include Carmen Miranda, Harpo Marx, and Bob Hope; I already have "Christmas Night" and "Christmas Visitor" on other disks. The quality isn't horrible (the titles are all various degrees of old), but there's no evidence of restoration, and there's no insert either. The menus are animated and are quite the nicest ones I've seen on collections of this type.
This set doesn't contain the best of the classics (in fact, it really only contains two: "Christmas Night" and "Toys Will Be Toys," which, strictly speaking, has no mention of Christmas at all), but in spite of that, it's still worth picking up if you can do so for cheap.
