(More customer reviews)Sonic X is the newest animated series of our favorite blue anthropomorphic hedgehog, and the first one from Japan (If you don't count the movie) That's right! An anime! If anyone cares, it's dubbed by 4Kids, but they actually did a pretty good job, unlike what happened to One Piece.
Sonic X's story is a bit different; In the first episode Sonic and the gang are on their world (Unnamed, but I call it Mobius like in the comics), and trying to rescue Cream the Rabbit from Eggman, who has also stolen a Chaos Emerald. When Sonic tricks Eggman's robots into firing at the power control at Eggman's base, the Emerald causes Chaos Control which sends the crew to a parallel universe: Earth! Sonic meets up with local kid Chris Thorndyke and must lay low while trying to find his friends! However, after saving the day from Eggman multiple times, it becomes quite obvious to the people of Station Square that these human-like animals are around, and they welcome the heroes with open arms.
Volume 7, Revenge of the Robot, has episodes 27-32, and is the Chaos Arc. Basically, it's a retelling of Sonic's first 3D game, Sonic Adventure (And it's remake on the Gamecube: Sonic Adventure DX). When Angel Island is transported to Earth as a delayed side effect of Chaos Control, Eggman shatters the Master Emerald to bring forth Chaos, the God of Destruction! It's a race against time as Sonic and Tails try to get the Emeralds before Eggman, Amy is trying to help a bird named Lily find her way home, Knuckles must find the pieces of the Master Emerald, Eggman's new robot Gamma has betrayed his creator and is determined to destroy its robotic 'Brothers', and newcomer Big the Cat is trying to catch his friend Froggy, who has mysteriously grown a tail!
But all is not well, for the crew soon find out that with each Chaos Emerald that Chaos absorbs, he grows bigger and stronger. With the characters having multiple trips 1,000 years in the past, and the strange echidna named Tikal appearing, can they stop Chaos and once again seal him away in the Master Emerald, before he reaches...Perfection?
